Calibre Tech – Company Story

Founded in 2022 in Tysons, Virginia, Calibre Tech was born from a vision to redefine how people work, innovate, and solve complex challenges. At the heart of this vision is its founder and CEO, Dilek Yildiz, who set out to build more than just a technology company—she created a workplace culture where creativity thrives, ideas are encouraged, and innovation happens without the constraints of micromanagement.

Dilek Yildiz’s journey began in Izmir, where she spent four years in the financial sector developing a strong foundation in relationship building and understanding the core pillars of business. Her dedication and performance quickly set her apart. In 2008, she achieved first place across Turkey in sales of retirement investment products—an accomplishment that earned her an educational opportunity in the United States.

Driven by a long-standing passion for technology and problem-solving, Dilek pursued her Master’s degree in Systems Engineering and Technology Management at George Washington University. This academic experience became a turning point, shaping her technical expertise and strategic mindset.

Following her graduation, she received multiple offers from Fortune 500 companies and ultimately joined Freddie Mac in 2014. Over more than a decade, Dilek built a dynamic and diverse career within the organization. Her curiosity and commitment to growth led her to transition across multiple domains—from Operations to IT, Enterprise Resiliency, and Business Resiliency—gaining a comprehensive, end-to-end understanding of complex enterprise systems.

Throughout her tenure, she worked on a wide range of initiatives, including in-house application development for data quality, enterprise data governance, risk and issue management, and change management. One of her most impactful contributions was leading large-scale data migration and automation efforts, spanning operational, security, and HR systems into the cloud.

Her most recent achievement—driving data migration combined with AI integration—significantly enhanced operational efficiency by 40%. By integrating cloud-based data with advanced reporting and BI tools, she enabled faster, more accessible insights across multiple business units, transforming how decisions were made within the organization.

With this wealth of experience and a deep belief in empowering people, Dilek founded Calibre Tech to bring a new approach to solving complex IT challenges. The company focuses on cloud transformation, data governance, and operational efficiency—delivering innovative, scalable solutions while fostering an environment where talent can think freely, collaborate openly, and push boundaries.
